Letter from Our Chapter President

Welcome to the Gamma Phi chapter of Alpha Gamma Delta at Georgia Tech! As you explore and learn more about our sisterhood, we hope that you get a glimpse of the things we value: giving back to our communities, developing our members into leaders of the future, creating genuine, lasting friendships, and following the values and Purpose of Alpha Gamma Delta.

During my first year in college, I refused to join a sorority. I knew about the negative stereotypes and stigma revolving around Greek Life and did not want to be a part of it. However, getting to know other members of CPC in my classes and my dorm changed my perspective of sorority life at Georgia Tech. The people in this community are smart, kind, and genuine, and they inspired me to go through primary recruitment as a second-year. As a PNM, Alpha Gam stood out to me as a chapter full of hard-working, compassionate people from different walks of life. The people in this chapter have valued me for exactly who I am and helped me grow in every way possible. I gained 180 new friends, leadership opportunities on campus, study buddies, internships, community service opportunities, friends in other chapters and on-campus organizations, the best food ever (shoutout to Chef Jess!) and confidence in myself. There is no group of people I would rather tell silly, unhinged stories to or have difficult philosophical conversations with, and I’m forever thankful for them. Throughout all my ups and downs, Alpha Gam has given me a support system that I know will last a lifetime.

I never thought that I would be the president of a sorority, but leading Gamma Phi is the most incredible gift. I am so excited to give back to the chapter that has given me so much. It is my privilege to share our sisterhood with you and I hope that our site can give you a glimpse of how Alpha Gams are loving, leading, and lasting.
